Finding hidden gems of unspoiled nature

In order to recover from the tiring computer work I do in my home office, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors, in nature. The wilder the better, is my credo. Far away from the hustle and bustle from cities with their noise and poisonous air, and the stressed out people, I love to bask in the refreshing peace and quiet of the natural world. This is where we born to live in: paradise. Although a lot of it has been destroyed by ignorant and uncaring humans, who are disconnected from both creation and the Creator, there are still some gems left, if you know where to look. It’s there that I find the perfect images for my canvas prints and wall decor.

Especially when I lived in Europe, where people crawl on top of each other in the urban areas, I had a lot of fun finding those hidden locations of unspoiled nature. One such area was the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in North Holland. It was destined to be an industrial zone, with horrible factory buildings, that pollute both humans, animals and the landscape. However, the ground proved to be too wet, and no solution was found to get rid of the water. So they abandoned it for several years, unsure what to do with this area. Then life started exploding everywhere and several rare species of birds returned to this spontaneous wilderness. Soon forest services worked hard to declare it a protected area and they succeeded.

Now wildlife and wild horses roams these wetlands, birds of prey are nesting in the shrubs, and trees are allowed to grow old and gnarly, as the weeping willow you can see in this wall decor artwork. It has become the perfect place for anyone who loves nature, animals, landscapes, and flowers. It is in this nature reserve that I have been able to make a lot of my most beautiful photographs. Thanks to the awesome pictures I was able to shoot, I can now offer these gems of natural beauty to many people in the form of living room wall art. Especially during spring, wild flowers cover the wild areas in abundance, giving me the opportunity to make eye catching flower art.
